I don’t remember how I old I was when I discovered my first gray hair.  I started coloring my hair just for fun in my 20s.

Dyeing really became a chore in my 40’s. All my friends colored their hair and we would commiserate over our roots every three weeks.

I decided to stop coloring because I was so sick of having to do it close to every 2-3 weeks – I was lazy! And my good friend made the transition before me so I had support.

When I transitioned, I had dark brown hair.  I only colored my part and let the underneath grow out for quite a while.

I then let the skunk stripe grow out for several months and then I got a very short pixie.

I felt bad about myself every month when those roots showed through.  As soon as I was fully gray, I felt fierce!

WHAT SHADE OF EYEBROW LOOKS BEST ON YOU?

I have never been much of a make-up wearer, but I find that I concentrate more now on my lips.  I love LipSense lip color because it stays on for hours.  I do a bold lip and some mascara, when I wear makeup.

I strongly suggest joining The Silver Circle Facebook Group for support along the way.  It is the nicest group out there!
